Crunchy cheese bread
Ingredients
Crunchy cheese bread | |

500 g | farmer's flour |
100 g | familia Crunchy Müesli (e.g. familia c.m.plus Original) |
1 1/2 tbsp | salt |
1/2 cube | fresh yeast, crumbled |
about 3 dl | lukewarm water |
180 g | Gruyère cheese, thinly sliced |
100 g | seedless blue grapes, halved |
40 g | familia Crunchy Müesli (e.g. familia c.m.plus Original) |
Preparation
- Mix flour, Crunchy Müesli, salt, and yeast in a bowl
- Add water and knead into a soft, smooth dough
- Cover and let rise at room temperature for about 1 1/2 hours, until doubled the size
- Roll out the dough on a little flour into a rectangle of approx. 30 x 50 cm
- Cut the dough into 7 strips crosswise
- Fold these strips accordion-style (like a harmonica) and place into prepared pan
- Tuck Gruyère cheese slices and halved grapes into the folds of the dough
- Let the dough rise again for about 30 minutes
- Coat lightly with water and sprinkle Crunchy Muesli on top
- Bake for about 35 minutes in the lower half of an oven preheated to 200°C (390°F)
- Remove the bread from the oven
- Allow to cool-off slightly
- Remove from the pan
- Leave to cool completely on the oven rack
