Delicious Müesli

For the ultimate crunchy treat! familia indulgent Müesli has been a byword for natural Swiss crunchy indulgence for almost 50 years. Discover your favourite.

What we’re proud of: Pure indulgence

  • Chocolate is still one of the most popular varieties of our crunchy Müesli. That’s why we have no fewer than three tempting options:
    • Our Swiss Choco Bits, which includes large cereal pillows with a nut and chocolate filling.
    • For our Choco Crunch, we cover individual crispy pieces with chocolate.
    • And our Choc’X +Bits is triple chocolate. Chocolate baked into the crunchy pieces, delicate chocolate chips and slightly smaller chocolate pillows complete the crunchy Müesli.
  • Did you know that we sort and roast the almonds and hazelnuts for our familia crunchy Müesli by hand in Sachseln? The hazelnuts come from our Happy Hazelnut project.

  • The first familia ‘Chnusper-Zmorgä’ was launched in 1977. Oven-baked Müesli was a minor revolution on the crunchy Müesli market. The recipe was similar to that of today’s Knusper Crunch, but its sugar content has been reduced slightly over time.
  • Are familia indulgent Müeslis too sweet for you? No problem. Simply mix them with our Nature Crunch. Nature Crunch is deliciously crunchy and contains no added sugar or sweeteners.

Crunchy Müesli or granola?

What’s the difference between crunchy Müesli and granola? To be honest, not much.

We call our crunchy Müesli ‘granola’ for our foreign markets. According to a survey conducted within the familia community, however, the Swiss think of granola as a healthy, home-made crunchy Müesli with honey and nuts. Other kinds are seen as a sweet treat and are also often enjoyed as a snack or dessert. Crunchy Müesli is the perfect crunchy treat for breakfast and is the overarching term for all types of baked Müesli, regardless of how big the crunchy pieces are.

Speaking of other countries, which of our familia Müeslis would we say is the most popular outside Switzerland?

In the Middle East, people love a sweet treat: Swiss Choco Bits. These cereal pillows filled with Swiss chocolate and nuts are usually eaten as a snack without milk there. The original Birchermüesli takes second place. We sell this in various varieties in the US and Thailand, for example.
