What are we doing to combat child labour?
It is in our DNA to be mindful of the treasures of nature and to ensure the well-being of both the environment and people.
We have been actively involved in the Happy Hazelnut Initiative Link opens in a new tab., a programme aimed at combating child labour, since 2014.
We are constantly working to make our supply chains fully transparent – a real challenge, as we process around 300 raw materials from all over the world in Sachseln.
Our approach to child labour
Every year, we carry out a risk assessment for all our raw materials. In doing so, we identify their country of origin and use the Unicef Business Atlas Link opens in a new tab. to check whether it is a high-risk country.
Where necessary, we enter into clear agreements with our suppliers to ensure adherence to human rights. If action needs to be taken, we initiate targeted measures – but this is not the case at present.
In this way, we ensure that our supply chains are not only transparent, but also responsible.
